Monarch Annual Fund

The Monarch Annual Fund is the heart of St. Edward Parish School’s philanthropic effort. The Monarch Annual Fund is a tax-deductible opportunity for parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends of our school to contribute to the ongoing academic success of our students.

Each year, the Monarch Annual Fund raises funds to provide a level of excellence and innovation that continues to set us apart from other schools in our area. The Monarch Annual Fund allows our school to “Dream Big & Do More” and offer students and faculty the most possibilities to engage, explore, and excel.

Your gift, in any amount, supports the people and programs that make St. Edward Parish School so special.

WHERE DO THE FUNDS GO?

Professional Development Opportunities

Professional development for our faculty and staff in the areas of differentiated instruction, learning support, reading interventions, advancement, educational technology, makerspace programs, and credential clearance.

Most recently, two preschool faculty members traveled to San Antonio, Texas to gain hands-on experience with a newly introduced art program; five lower school teachers participated in the Teacher's College Columbia University Summer 2019 Conference for Readers and Writers Workshop; five faculty members participated in the Catholic Youth Ministry Training Convention in Arizona to prepare for our school's new Campus Ministry Program; our Director of Advancement and Director of Marketing attended a four-day summer institute in Boston; our Director of Makerspace participated in a Project Lead the Way Conference in San Diego; and five teachers attended a Jane Schaffer Writing Workshop in summer 2019.

The school's library was renovated through Monarch Annual Fund donations. The project will entailed: separate learning zones for early education, lower school and upper school; installing new bookcases; enhancing overall aesthetic; installing new furniture which include a unique space for storytelling, collaboration tables, flexible and comfortable work spaces.

A reading program called “Reader’s Workshop” for 1st grade through 5th grade including teacher professional development, classroom library augmentation, and resources.

A new writing program called "Writer's Workshop" for Kindergarten through 6th grade including professional development and resources.

Tuition Assistance

Our annual fund efforts support the school's tuition assistance program. Approximately 20% of St. Edward students receive some level of financial assistance. The goal of our tuition assistance program is to provide support to families and students who might not otherwise be able to afford a Catholic education. Annually, our financial goal is to raise $40,000 through the annual fund for the Monarch Tuition Assistance Program.
