Curriculum Vitae

My name is Maureen Turner and this is my eighth year teaching first grade at The Parish School. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Queen’s University, Ontario, Canada. I completed my teaching certification program at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York. In addition, I have completed many courses toward a Master’s degree in Curriculum. I have maintained my teaching certification (credential) with the Ontario College of Teachers. I am qualified to teach kindergarten through eighth grade, as well as Special Education. I have experience teaching all grades, first through eighth. This is my eighteenth year teaching in Catholic schools.

On the personal side, my husband David (Tosches) and I live in Laguna Niguel with our two children, Isabella and Lilianna Tosches. Isabella attends Santa Margarita Catholic High School and Lilianna attends The Parish School. We have been very fortunate to give our girls an excellent education with a foundation of Catholic Christian values. I look forward to enriching your child’s Catholic faith and values in the coming year.

There will be many hands-on activities provided in our STEM classroom which I believe will assist your child’s learning experience and educational growth. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation and involvement in your child’s educational experience. If you have any concerns or questions throughout the year, please contact me via email, letter or phone. If you wish an in-person conversation, I will be happy to arrange a time before or after the school day. I will be checking emails at the beginning and ending of each day and try to get back to you in a timely manner.

I know (as partners) we can make a positive impact on your child’s first grade year.

Many blessings for a wonderful school year.
