Mrs. Linares

Hello, my name is Kathryn Linares and I am so excited to join the faculty at St. Edward. I have fourteen years of elementary school classroom teaching experience and I was an adjunct professor for Kaplan University.  I taught online for almost three years.  I have been a substitute teacher for the past six years, working between St. Edward and OLF.  English Language Arts is an amazing field to work in this year.  The class will be reading a variety of literature, crafting stories using the Jane Shaffer Writing Process, and refining skills in Grammar, Usage, and Mechanics.

I consider myself a lifelong learner.  I have obtained a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Administration, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, a preliminary Administrative Credential, a CLAD (Cross cultural Language and Academic Development) certificate, and a California Clear Multi-Subject Teaching Credential.

My husband and I value a great Catholic education.  Our daughters went to St. Edward and then to SMCHS ~ Go Eagles!  We are parishioners at St. Edward and we are active in our faith and school community.  I love to go to the beach, read good books, walk my dog, snow ski, and cheer on my girls!
