Dear Parents,

Welcome to Third Grade!  I am delighted to have your child in my class this year.  One thing you will quickly learn about me is that I LOVE teaching—especially third grade. I am looking forward to challenging your child to develop academically and socially as we make the transition to more independent learning. am looking forward to working with you and your child to make this a successful year.  Watching third graders grow and blossom will hopefully be an amazing experience for you (and me)!  Third grade is a very important transitional year—bridging the gap between the primary years and upper elementary grades. Grade three learners will achieve much this year in terms of spiritual and academic growth, greater self-confidence, and improved social skills.

I truly look forward to working with you this upcoming school year.  Your child is embarking on a journey that will lead them on many roads of discovery and learning! I am looking forward to our adventure!

Grace and Peace,
Mrs. Kirby
