Please complete and return a signed copy of this form to St. Edward the Confessor Parish School as your permission for your child to walk or bike from school, after school hours. This waiver does not grant permission for students to leave campus unaccompanied by an adult during scheduled school hours.

Children must have this form completed, signed by a parent/guardian and on file at the school before they will be allowed to walk unaccompanied off campus. For safety reasons, we strongly recommend that your child not be allowed to walk off campus alone. 

Please name each of your children you grant permission to walk or bike off campus without adult supervision, after school hours.

I am aware that by allowing my child to walk or ride a bike to/from school, I assume the responsibility for certain dangers that may occur. These include, but are not limited to, the hazards of accidents, illness, injury, inclement weather, abduction, illegal substances, and death.

As stated in the California Education Code Section 35330, I understand and do hereby assume all of the above-mentioned risks, will not hold ST. EDWARD THE CONFESSOR PARISH SCHOOL, its officers, agents and employees harmless from any and all liability or claims whatsoever which may arise out of or in connection with my child walking to and from school. The terms thereof shall serve as a release and assumption of risks for my heirs, executor and administrators and for all members of my family.

Students will receive a 2024-2025 school ID. I understand the child named above is expected to show his/her school ID to the adult stationed near the exit of the school grounds to verify their identity and walking waiver status before leaving campus.
