First Fridays Faith and Fellowship
In responding to Pope Benedict’s call for a Year of Faith, beginning this October, St. Edward the Confessor School is very excited to announce our First Fridays Faith and Fellowship! On the first Friday of each month we are inviting all school parents to Knight Hall for the showing of an episode of Father Robert Barron’s highly-regarded Catholicism series. This series is shot on-location and is a wonderful tool to help Catholics deepen their understanding and love of their Faith, as well as introduce non-Catholics to what we believe and who we are.
The program will begin at 1:30 each First Friday with prayer and the Catholicism video, followed by a little time for fellowship as school dismissal is getting ready to begin.
Our meeting in October will be really special because we will be showing the feature film October Baby as a way to kick off the program and highlight Right to Life Month. Because it is a feature film, we will begin early, at 12:30, and encourage everyone to bring their lunch.
We are very excited about providing this opportunity to our school families to participate in the Year of Faith and grow together as a faith community. Please come and bring a friend! We pray it will be a blessing to your family as well as our school and parish family.
