Kinder Spanish Assignments

See attached printable book from Spanish's Playground's site that Kinders will be reading next week: Flores de colores.  I recommend this site for great free lessons, resources, and printables.  

 

Kinder continues work on mini book Los opuestos (opposites) with the comparisons to mamá and bebé using the book  ¿El canguro tiene mamá? by Eric Carle.  You can find familiar titles at the library in the Spanish picture book section.  See photo for cover and first page of book.

 

Learners are working on a book of opuestos (opposites) which includes grande and pequeño.  See attachment for free download that I found on Spanish Playground's site.  There are many more printables, lessons, and videos on the site to further Spanish practice.  

Following up on our singing practice of Los pollitos, kinder is singing a farm animal song called La granja.  We're listening to animal sounds from the attached site (without looking at pictures) and deciding which animal it is.  Sometimes animals make different sounds in Spanish. Gallo (rooster) = ki kiri ki

Kinder has been learning about food words, what we like to eat, and what we don't like to eat (Me gusta and No me gusta). We completed these charts last week. They did a nice job with writing and coloring!

Learners are working on numbers, counting, and answering questions using the word "hay" (there are or there is).

Learners have been singing a song, reading books and coloring the COLORES in Spanish.  Note that brown can be called café as well as marrón.

KInders are working on the Spanish alphabet at school.  See attached phonetic alphabet for pronunciation.

Song for practice with Spanish alphabet. (See previous assignment with phonetic pronunciations)  There are 4 extra letters in Spanish alphabet: ch, ll, ñ and rr.  Our BINGO song only represents ñ.  Happy singing!
