8th Grade Spanish (Period 7 8B) Assignments

Bring Textbook to class to turn in to Sra. Cope. Make sure you clean out all papers.

1. Turn in missing/absent work 2.  Study for quiz reflexive verbs & el cuerpo humano- see handouts from class and quizlet links posted on the school website 3. Complete word art project due Tuesday May 15th. Also, you will be turning in your textbook this week. Please remember to bring it to class.

Turn in any missing/absent work in the tray in room 231. Continue practicing reflexive verbs and their conjugations as well as the new vocabulary, el cuerpo humano. See quizlet links posted on the school website.

Finish the front of the handout for Reflexive verbs fill in the blank 1-9. Do not complete the assignment with the paragraph on the back. Choristers, please turn in your work into the tray in room 231 before school ends Thursday. 

Check Sycamore. Complete and turn in missing/absent work into tray in room 231 on Sra. Cope's desk. Remember you have one week after the due date to complete work for full credit. After that, the maximum score you can earn is 50%. If you have been absent, first check Sycamore. Then if you need assistance, please email or find Sra. Cope to discuss what you need to do to get yourself up to date.

Any missing assignment that is not turned in by Thursday this week will earn a 0, unless there is a unique circumstance. Any work after Thursday will only be able to earn a maximum of 50%.

Finish handout called "pre-quiz Reflexive Verbs 1-15 and the back of the handout by putting the gentleman's daily routine in order. 

Prepare for Quiz. Los quehaceres, positive commands, negative commands and Direct Object Pronouns. See notes, handouts, work from class. There is a quizlet link posted for chores on the school website.

Reminder: quiz Thursday on chores, positive and negative tú commands and the use of direct object pronouns with commands.  Also, If you have missing/absent work, please turn it in to the tray in room 231 by Wednesday the 21st of March. This way, Sra. Cope can give you feedback to help you prepare for your quiz.

Please complete these assignments by the beginning of class. TPR handout questions, handout p. 30-31, textbook p. 184 act 13 with modified directions. Please see Mrs. Cope before school, during break or lunch, or after school if you need the handouts or further explanation. 

Finish the Negative Tú Command column from the "Los Quehaceres" handout from class.

Remember to put a verb in the negative command: A) add a "no" B) put it in "yo C) drop the "o" D) flip flop the endings  if you start with an "ar"--"es" is the - command ending, if you start with an "er/ir" verb-- "as" is the negative command ending

Complete and turn in your top 10 commands of a faith filled Catholic Christian.

8B and 8C Complete the "direcciones de la casa" Handout by Friday before you go home. Put it in the tray in room 231 on Sra. Cope's desk. (8A will complete it next week due to the schedule change for the Rosary activity earlier this week.) Also, anyone who has not turned in p. 102, please turn that in to the tray too.

8th graders who were not in class on Tuesday December 19th, please complete the following assignment from class that day.

 

Create an advertisement for a product or service in Spanish on an index card.  This advertisement must include A) the name or title of product or service B) a picture or a drawing of the product or service C) 4 different + tú commands to entice the audience. D) add color and neatness

For example: If I were advertising Cocina de Cope (Cope's kitchen)  Taste the love! Let us cook for you!  Prueba el amor, déjanos a cocinar para ti...etc   

 

Also, turn in the +tú handout with the 1-20 and the advice in the tray in room 231 

If you did not already complete both sides of the +tú commands handout, please do so for Tuesday the 19th. Also, bring coloring devices to class ie colored pencils, pens, or think markers.

Complete the front side of the Regular and Irregular + tú commands handout. Do not do the side that has 1-20 and 1-6

Study for quiz on prepositions and places in the city. Quiz will be Thursday Dec. 7th.

act 8- Write a complete sentence using the correct form of Salir to say where the people are coming from. salgo= I leave, sales= you leave, sale= he/she leaves, salimos= we leave, salen= they/y'all leave

Act 9. Use a correct form of salir + para to say where they people are leaving for...Then use the correct form of "ir" and a mode of transportation from the blue box to say how they "go"

voy= I go, vas= you go, va= he/she goes, vamos= we go, van= they/y'all go.

Quiz on places and saying where someone goes and why they go there. See vocabulary on p. 109, the un minuto loco handout from class and the quizlet link posted on the website for uni 4 etapa 1.

Check sycamore and turn in any missing assignments to the tray on Sra. Cope's desk in room 231 as soon as possible. Gracias.
