Ms. Milledge's Awesome Play Dough Recipe
YOU WILL NEED:
2 cups flour
1/2 cup salt
2 T. oil
1 cup hot water
Food coloring
 
INSTRUCTIONS
In a bowl, combine flour and salt.  In a large metal bowl combine hot water, oil and food coloring.  Scoop dry ingredients into liquid mixture while mixing.  Add additional flour until you get the right consistency, then knead well.
Store play dough in a plastic container  or plastic bag.
 
Mrs. Master's Fabulous Play Dough Recipe
YOU WILL NEED:
2 1/2 CUPS OF WATER
1 1/4 CUP SALT
1 1/2 TABLESPOONS OF CREAM OF TARTAR
5 TABLESPOONS OF VEGETABLE OIL
2 1/2 CUPS OF FLOUR
FOOD COLORING-YOUR CHOICE!
 
INSTRUCTIONS:
 
Combine all the ingredients.  Stir until ingredients are mixed.  Place in cooking pot, heat stove to medium heat and cook play dough until it forms into a ball.  Remove from heat and knead on your kitchen counter. 
Suggestion: place play dough on wax paper and then begin kneading.  Store play dough in a plastic container or plastic bag.

Mrs. Holbrook's  Wonderful Home Made Paint!

 

For the Paint:

  • 1 Cup of Water
  • 1 Cup of Liquid Dish Soap
  • 1 Cup of All Purpose Flour
  • Food Coloring

Other Stuff You’ll Need:

  • Bowl & Spoon to mix the ingredients in/with
  • 1cup Measuring Cup
  • Paintbrushes
  • Jars or containers to store the paint

Directions:

Mix the water, dish soap, and flour together in a bowl. Pour into individual jars. Add food coloring. Use paintbrushes to mix the food coloring into the paint mixture. Enjoy!!!

Note, the mixture might be a little bubbly, depending on your dish soap. It will settle eventually. The mixture does thicken with time, so use within a couple of days.

Salt Dough Recipe

for Dinosaur Bones & Fossils

2 Cups Flour

1 Cup Salt

1 Cup Water

  1. Mix flour and salt together in a bowl. Slowly mix water, a few tablespoons at a time, into flour mixture until dough is smooth and easy to handle. Knead dough for 10 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 200 degrees F.
  3. Form dough into desired shapes and arrange on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until dry and hard, about 3 hours. Allow to cool completely.

 

SLIME RECIPE

1 cup flour

Food coloring

8 Tablespoons of water (heated)

Mix ingredients.  Do not use too much food coloring.

Pour ingredients into a Ziploc bag.  Close and make sure bag is secure.

Lay bag on table and spread the slime inside bag and even it out.

Take a q-tip and have your child draw faces, write letters, numbers, and shapes on the bag.  Magically erase designs by using hand to “wipe” away design.

 

Easy Bubble Recipe

Ingredients:

4 cups warm water (heat in microwave or use hot tap water)

½ cup sugar

½ cup Dawn Dishwashing Soap

Directions:

Pour ½ cup of sugar in a mixing bowl

Add four cups of water

Whisk until sugar dissolves

Add ½ cup of Dawn dish soap-whisk and mix

Best to let it sit overnight or for a few hours, but can be used right away!

Ocean in a Bottle

What you will need:

Water bottle

Water

Vegetable oil

Food coloring

Sea life and fun things to put in your bottle

Directions:

Fill your water bottle about 2/3 full with water

Add some food coloring

Add plastic sea life animals, glitter, sequins, beads

Fill remainder of the water bottle with vegetable oil

Secure the lid and play!
