About Sapphire

Sapphire at School was founded by Chef Azmin Ghahreman in 2007 with the dream to provide Every Child with a Healthy Start. Twelve years ago, Sapphire at School began working to make the school lunch process a little easier – and a lot better – all the way around. Long before the school lunch quality issue came to surface, we created a unique lunch program designed to bring a chef-driven alternative to the table and to provide students with a lifetime of well-being and education.

We incorporate honest, transparent and flexible lunch options, with variety, quality, and freshness as the key components to our mission. We present selections of restaurant-quality meals that are delicious and appealing, with old favorites re-imagined balancing nutrients and satisfy cravings. We appreciate the opportunity to share our program with you.

What sets the Sapphire at School program apart from others is our commitment to the highest quality of food, which is locally sourced, made from scratch, with tasty recipes created by chefs. Our team brings experience, passion and culinary education to students so that they may thrive to be their very best in and out of the classroom. Our menus are guided by our group of advisors, the Sapphire Nutritional Board. The Board consists of pediatric experts, including educators, doctors, dietitians, chefs and parents. We invite you to get to know our team, build relationships with us and participate in creating the very best food program for your school.

We have moved into the forefront of technology by building a custom and elevated user experience. Sapphire at School created and maintains a mobile app and ordering portal. We use a combination of marketing tools to communicate menus, events and other food service information. Our goal with these marketing tools is to engage the school community and inspire wholesome eating habits and the powerful impact they have in maintaining a positive and healthy lifestyle.
