                                         NEW  Breakfast Book Club
* Grades 4-6 *

What:
The Breakfast Book Club (BBC) is a book club to engage 4th, 5th and 6th grade learners in additional literacy opportunities throughout the year. The reading list is an abbreviated version of the current year's Battle of the Books list. Moving at a relaxed pace of one book every two weeks (versus one book per week in BOB).

Learners will meet to discuss the featured book over breakfast and work on a fun project that relates to what they're reading. The goal is for learners to develop a deeper understanding of each book, consider others’ perspectives, make predictions and solve problems, try out expanded vocabulary and practice analyzing what he/she read.

Participation does not require reading log completion, extra studying, tests, or competition - just a commitment to read the books on the reading list and thoughtfully participate in group discussions. Members are strongly encouraged to read at least 6 of the 12 books.

When:

Please email [email protected] if your learner is interested in joining!
